Development of an ultra-light boarding platform for commercial vehicles with both conventional and electric powertrain system

The task is to develop a boarding platform that can be installed in commercial and passenger vehicles with electric or conventional drive with subsequent strength control, deformation-stress analysis, and the inspection of platform mounts. The platform is to be retractable without the need for propulsion, it is to be designed so that the outputs can be applied to all commonly available vehicles on the market classified in classes N1, N2 or N3. The retractable lift is to be ensured even when the usable space is fully loaded, and the platform is also to be mountable on vehicles with a tow bar. The device is to ensure a smooth transition to the vehicle, and it is to be mountable in all types of vehicles, including electric ones, with battery boxes in the floor part. The development task was carried out between January – May 2023, and was completed at TRL7 level having carried out all prototype tests on a digital prototype.
